A cup measures volume, a gram measures weight... but

≈ 8.3267 imperial fluid ounces
United States "legal" cup

So I will need to buy a scale then I am guessing. I ended up using just shy of 3 cups but the beer does not seem to be as active as my previous brews ... three days in the firmenter and not bubbling anymore, very little krausen on the top. Can I add some sugar, or yeast? What do all of you suggest?Last edited by maestrotee on Sat Apr 11, 2009 10:50 am, edited 1 time in total."WE are the music makers, and WE are the dreamers of the dreams." Willy Wonka

One cup (8oz) of table sugar (granulated sugar) is 200g (Ref)
One cup (8oz) of corn starch is 226g (Ref)
So, 500g of Corn Sugar is 17.7oz or 2.2 cups.
Hope this helps.
