Position: Lazarus Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced Lead/Shift Brewer who is ready to spread
their wings and make a mark in one of the 7 best beer cities in America.
Location: Austin, Texas.
Who We Are: Lazarus is one of Austin’s highest volume brewpubs, located in the heart of East Austin.
Founded on Christmas Eve, 2016, we are a small-batch, zero-distribution urban brewery that brings
people together around coffee, beer, tacos, and Joy! We believe in Story and Adventure, we’re opening
our a second location (October 2022), and now we’re gearing up for that chapter (and more!).
Who We’re Looking For: This is a rare opportunity, for a very special person. The ideal candidate will
have 2+ years of full-time brewing experience and the technical skills to produce world class beer across
a variety of styles.
Key Responsibilities:
 Operate a 10-15 BBL brewhouse.
 Brew high quality beer across a wide range of styles, ranging from “classic” (IPA, English,
German, Belgians) to “experimental” (sours, wilds, foeder and barrel-aged).
 Work with the operations team to craft high quality products and meet production goals.
 Build bridges with the broader brewing community (through professional organizations, guilds,
collaborations, etc).
 Work in all production areas including wort production, cellaring, and packaging.
 Educate staff on beer/tasting and develop a culture of learning and advancement.
 Perform preventative maintenance.
 Address and resolve mechanical / technical issues as they arise.
 Represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications / Skills:
 Responsible, motivated self-starter who works well with little supervision.
 2+ years of professional experience in a brewpub or production environment.
 Extensive knowledge of brewing equipment.
 Ability to consistently produce wort and beer to strict quality standards and follow documented
procedures.
 Mechanical aptitude
 Proficient in MS Office, Excel.
 Attention to detail, strong ability to multitask, must be a self-starter.
 Strong communication and leadership skills.
 Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
 Must interface well with public. Here at Lazarus, we exist to help people share life. And that
