So, I accidentally started pouring oak cubes into my must for my Vineco kit, thinking it was a second packet of chips. The cubes are supposed to go in the secondary. I fished out the 6 -8 that went in and put them back in the package. I probably should have just left them.
Should I try to sanitize them now, before I put them in the secondary? If so, how? K-meta, starsan, boiling water?
Odd thing happened to me also, had a Diablo Roho kit that had 2 packets of cubes, one to add at fermentation the other at 2nd stage, they were suppose to be different consistency but looked the same, I would put those cubes in bag and into the refrigerator to keep them neutral until time to pitch in the majic juice.
