I've been brewing beer a long time, but I haven't yet distilled anything.
I have a buddy who is a cocktail guy with a fantastic deep bar. He had a 8 gallon reflux still that he used once, and for some reason decided to ship it to me. Probably he assumed since I make good beer I could do the same or similar in spirits. That remains to be seen.
I've another friend who makes really good spirits and referred me here. That tipped me from interest to action. So I guess it's time to put the reflux still to work. Why not? If my friend thinks I can make some good spirits, I should go for it. Seems like I'm already part way there understanding mashing and fermentation.
