Social Project Brewing Company has been open and rapidly growing for 1 year in Bentonville, AR. We are the top-rated brewery in Arkansas and specialize in Hazy IPA’s, Fruited Sours, Lagers, and Stouts. We are a 7 BBL brewery with 2 taprooms. We have 1-2 releases every week (many of these releases are new versions of our base styles). Our focus as a business and as a team is to create a welcoming environment where we generate community. Giving back is also a big focus of ours. Our passions are craft beer, community, and charity. Job Requirements:Formal brewing education + experience or 2 years brewing experience preferred.Would highly prefer a brewer currently brewing our core styles regularly.Ability to train up other brewery personnel.Need to enjoy creating many new riffs on base beers. You will have the creative freedom to expand our base with one off beers of most any style frequently. Beer quality is our utmost priority.Must be able to lift grain bags and move 1/2bbl Kegs into cooler.Must be able to work 40-45 hour work weeks M-F and an occasional Saturday morning (we are flexible on shift start time between 6am-9am). We are somewhat flexible so if everything can be done in a 4 day work week we would entertain this option. Job Responsibilities – Brewery Operations (below is not all-inclusive) Note – This is a hands-on Head Brewer position including brewery, cellarwork, packaging & maintenance.Production planning, scheduling to meet beer demand trends.Brewing – grain handling, mashing, lautering, boiling, WP, wort-cooling, yeast handling, dry-hopping, etc.Yeast management – cleaning, sanitizing, harvesting, disposal, pitching, etc.Monitor fermentations – check gravities, pH, cell counts/viability, temperature, etc.CIP – cleaning/sanitizing tanks and other equipment.Kegging – keg cleaning, sanitizing, and filling.Draft system – cleaning & maintaining draft lines and dispense equipment.Canning (WG Gosling) – lead canning operations (typically 1 day a week of 25 cases).Maintenance –plan & lead brewery cleaning/maintenance projects.Manage inventories, order grain, hops, CIP chemicals, cans and other brewery supplies as necessary.Work with owner on new beer recipes and barrel aged and/or other specialty beer projects.Assist with events and promotions as necessary (occasionally).Work with owner to manage and adhere to brewery budget. Compensation:
$50,000 – $60,000 annually DOE.
