I've made a handful of batches of cider and I want to start force carbing them with a keg. I'm currently making multiple smaller 1-2 gallon batches so I can try different recipes quickly. I'm wondering whether its worth getting a full 5g keg now and purging the extra oxygen head so that I have a large keg when I want to do 5g batches in the future or if its better off going with a smaller keg. Someone recommended I checkout this kegland PET keg as a stepping stone to getting a full sized keg.
I'd love to know anyone's thoughts on the best approach!

You will find that you eventually want multiple kegs. Go ahead and start with the small one, since you will be adding more kegs anyway.
