Quality Manager ensures that the products being sent out meet consumer expectations. It’s their responsibility to develop programs and train the staff to recognize defects and imperfections at all stages of the manufacturing and packaging process to uphold consistent quality standards. Quality Manager communicates expectations to staff and observe production processes to identify the causes of common types of mistakes or defects. They research ways to limit human error on the production line, track the impact of different policies on defective parts. Quality Managers determine how much waste results from errors on the production line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensure all batching and packaging meets the customers QC requirements.Maintain updated product specifications for all current and future production items. This includes item description, formulation, processing steps, quality controls and packaging specs.Review planned production orders for release to production teams.Approve all batched products before packaging.Approve all packaged product for customer release.Implement QC methods to inspect, test, verify and validate all critical control points in production processing.Establish cleaning programs and oversee the execution of them for all production divisions.Ensure all received ingredients and materials meet the expected quality specifications.Work with Operations on all corrective actions request from customers.Work with Operations on all material reject issues that arise.Work with Operations on all certification programs as it relates to quality. This includes SQF, Organic & Kosher.Develop QC programs and train employees on how to adhere to necessary production testing. Oversee all testing and assure that completed production reports are correct and input in ERM system correctly.Reports all equipment failures and recommend resolve to Plant Manager. Develop and maintain retain sample testing program.Participate in weekly leadership meetings supporting all managed departments. JOB SUMMARY:
The alcohol Prodution Manager oversees the functions associated with brewing, batching and packaging of alcoholic beverages. This role is specific to products that ultimately get packaged in aluminum cans. This person works closely all departments to coordinate necessary efforts to complete tasks daily.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Oversees batching and brewing of all alcohol and canned production (until this role is delegated)Works with Operations to schedule production to ensure efficiency with other departments.Maintains accurate batch records on all work-in-process and completed batches of production.Ensures all equipment and support assets are in satisfactory working order.Schedules tank usage timing to ensure proper product specs are met.
