Kane Brewing is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager.Ensure the brewery runs smoothly, from mechanical systems and brewing equipment to stocking necessary repair/replacement parts during all operating hours and on-call basis when off-site.Manage the maintenance department team and all external contractors/subcontractorsMaintain and repair all production systems and equipment which include: pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, conveyors, packaging and process systems, etc.Coordinating with the head brewer, operations, packaging lead, and retail manager for downtime to complete installs, repairs, or replacementsMake recommendations for necessary spare parts and backup equipment for efficient performancePurchase and maintain adequate spare parts and supplies to ensure efficient operationsCreate and maintain thorough digital maintenance logs, library of technical manuals/drawings/schematics, and vendor contact informationPrepares cost estimates on proposed projectsDevelop and maintain complete sets of facilities-related SOP’s and safety procedures, trains staff in accordance with these procedures, and monitors activities to ensure compliance and areas of improvementConduct daily routine inspection of critical systems and report any unusual conditions, defective materials, faulty equipment, and equipment operating or installed incorrectlyExecution of routine maintenance at recommended intervalsDevelop strategies and best practices to keep all production, tasting room, and other areas cleaned, organized, and free of contaminationPromote a positive, proactive safety culture and be a safety ambassador on site.Maintain a clean and organized shop floor, utility yard, and spare parts departmentMaintain facility appearance including managing lawn maintenance and snow removalFacilitate the installation of new machinesVarious repairs/maintenance of mechanical systems Work closely with manufacturers, distributors and other vendors to stay informed of any changes to machine processes, functionality and upgrades

Requirements:At least five (5) years progressive, responsible experience in one or more of the following:a trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, welding etc. an equipment or automotive mechanic equipment installation or maintenance manufacturing Experience in a similar role preferredCollege degree in related field or vocational diploma strong plusMust be well organized, computer literate with solid understanding of MS office software and internet researchAbove average mechanical competency and experience and expertise with the safe use of tools and machinery associated with trade and/or maintenance work Familiarity with typical warehouse/manufacturing equipment such as boilers, refrigeration, pumps and piping, and/or packaging equipment a plus Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment preferredExcellent mechanical troubleshooting ability Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
Compensation based on experience
This position is full-time, on-site at our Ocean Township, NJ brewery location.
