Roe Jan Brewing Company operates a 7BBL brewery and 150-seat brewpub located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, halfway between the Berkshires and the Hudson River. We’re looking for an experienced brewery professional to operate the brewery and manage our wholesale operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about beer and brewing, is a team player, brings a broad range of skills, has excellent attention to detail, and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. This is a full-time salaried position and a relocation opportunity for the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESBrew beer and perform cellaring tasks according to SOPsClean and sanitize all equipment and work areas Adhere to all safety procedures and company policiesManage wholesale orders and deliveries Maintain brewery records for federal/state complianceParticipate in raw material selection and evaluationDevelop recipes for RJBC according to brand standards and philosophyEnsure adequate inventory of raw goods, brewery supplies, and beerPerform scheduled maintenance on all brewery equipmentConduct sensory evaluation to maintain consistent beer qualityTrain RJBC staff in beer and brewing process knowledge Develop beer marketing strategies with the RJBC team Participate in off-site events and festivals as a brand representativeQUALIFICATONS1-3 years professional brewing experienceFundamental knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, and process flowBroad knowledge of beer styles and industry trendsAbility to communicate well with staff, guests, and others Strong organizational skills and attention to detailValid driver’s licenseWe offer PTO, health insurance, and a retirement plan.
