We are looking for a motivated bartender to join Local Time Brewing, a new craft brewery and taproom in Holly Springs, NC. The right person for this role cares about the customer’s experience and helps to drive both the company’s brand and sales. We need someone willing and able to perform exceptionally not only in their role serving the customer, but also able to assist in other areas of running a taproom as needed. A strong work ethic, personal integrity, and belief in our brand are critical. Responsibilities:Use best efforts and prior experiences to foster an exceptional guest experience that creates brand ambassadors:Be friendly, prompt, and courteous;Build rapport with customers so that not only do they return but they encourage their friends to do the same;Resolve customer concerns timely and courteously;Strive for 100% customer satisfactionMaintain a tidy and clean taproom, bar, workstation and glasswareBe an expert on our company culture and all the beers we brew, and easily and confidently speak to customers about their details and what makes them unique including: inspiration for creation, brewing style, beer style, hops, IBU, ABV, etc.Understands how elevating brand awareness, customer engagement and effective communication increases salesProvide a safe atmosphere for all by monitoring customer alcohol intake and thoroughly checking IDs to ensure age complianceReports to the OwnerOperations:Set up and clean up the taproom Stock coolers and merchandise Engage with customersPour drinks and sell snacks and merchandiseCollect proper paymentAssist with tracking sales and maintaining inventoryReport any equipment problems, maintenance issues, violations or substandard practices to management immediatelyQualifications:
5+ years of bartending experience with a strong preference to those who have enjoyed working in a craft brewery taproom.Enthusiastic about craft beer21 years of age or olderFriendly, engaging, customer-centric personalityPreference for those who are Cicerone certified beer serversComfortable working independently and with othersIs of high integrity including as it relates to customers, management, and the business at-largePhysically ableto be on your feet for 8+ hours a dayable to lift or move at least 50 pounds able to manipulate 165-pound kegshas taken proper precautions to maintain your own health and that of those around you. There is a strong preference for being vaccinated against Covid-19.Able to assist with off-site events in the future.Prior experience with leading taproom software programs (POS, inventory management, CRM).You will be expected to abide by all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes whether they are expressly explained to you ahead of time or not including but not limited to those regarding violence, substance abuse, harassment and discrimination.Willing to submit to background checks as permitted by law.
