Old Combine is a wonderful 4-grain lager produced by Moonlight Brewing in Santa Rosa (barley, oats, wheat and rye). The grains are in perfect balance to create a rich, malt-forward lager that is only mildly bitter and lightly flavor hopped with some earthy hops.
Has anyone tried brewing Old Combine or a similar full-body zero-adjunct 4-grain recipe that focuses on flavor? Amidst the West Coast IPA craze I suspect lagers like this will soon be favorites around the country.
