How neutralized NaClO

Its time to make smoked beer. My Water contains NaClO…how neutralized this? I dont have filter.

Would it just be boiling and Campden tablet for the chlorite or would you need something to break the sodium - hypochlorite bond?

Found these two bits of info online
"Sodium hypochlorite is unstable. Chlorine evaporates at a rate of 0.75 gram per day of active chlorine from solution. Sodium hypochlorite disintegrates when heated or if it contacts acids"

NaClO is sodium hypochlorite, also known as bleach, also discussed by homebrewers as "chlorine". It is easily neutralized instantly by addition of 1 crushed Campden tablet per 10 gallons (38 liters), or equivalent amount of metabisulfite, added to the water prior to brewing. One bottle of Campden tablets will last a lifetime. It is easy cheap insurance against medicinal chlorophenolic flavors in your finished beer.

Yes you should be fine with that. It does not take very much campden (potassium or sodium metabisulfate) to get rid of chlorine/chloramines.

If you are working towards a specific water profile, 1g of Sodium Metabisulfite in 7 gallons of strike water potentially would add 9 ppm Na and 38 ppm SO4. Definitely not life altering, but worth keeping in mind.

Yes, it modifies the water profile. I'll do the ice rauchbock witch rapsberry. Yesterday i smoked malt, use cherry wood.

I usually use 0.4 g for ~8 gal of water. Do you know how much chlorine is in your water (in ppm?)

Nope. But imo not much cuz i drink this water every day and is rly tasty.
