I wonder which of these forums would be the right place for discussions on botanicals, when they're not related to making gin or absinth? There's tons of plants which can be used in macerations, in vapor path or otherwise in spirits either to make their own style of drink (as akvavit, genever, floral spirits, etc) or to add something to other styles of drinks like whiskey, vodka, etc.
Just started thinking about nightcap drink to make next summer which would be herbal spirit (unsweetened) most likely with brandy base or perhaps distilled honey wine based and didn't see anywhere to post
