Seems silly but, shared a small bottle of Johnny Walker’s Blue Lable  last weekend.  Not being much into scotch, I didn’t think I’d like it but….Wow!
So checked it out and read about ‘smoking’ the grains.
Am wondering if I were to smoke and bake the wheat berries I’m using before I mill them, would that carry a taste forward into my bourbon recipe?  If so, anyone know how to bake wheat berries?  Should I soak them first, then bake them dry, then mill them? What could I expect flavor wise?
Good advice needed.“…Let’s do this one more time....”
